Routing Optimization System
Many agencies create and maintain Geographical Information System (GIS) layers of their roadway and non-motorized systems. To analyze routing on these unique systems, MS2 has developed the web-based Route Optimization System (ROS).
The ROS can provide an agency with a number of services including way-finding on non-motorized facilities and route optimization for bussing, deliveries, and road maintenance activities such as salt routes and pavement marking applications. The functionality of the ROS allows users to:
- Utilize an agency’s specific criteria to optimize its routes
- Insertion of start, intermediate, and end points through data entry or map selection
- Dynamically drop/drag points on map
- Obtain detailed turn-by-turn directions with segment length and estimated travel time
- Email selected routes
