Travel Time Database System
Travel time studies are an excellent first step in addressing traffic congestion and the increased
delays, frustration, accidents, and pollution that it causes. However, in order to obtain the real value
associated with the completion of travel time studies, it is critical to utilize the data generated from the studies.
MS2's Travel Time Database System (TTDS) provides the necessary tools to make data available and valuable
to stakeholders through the efficient management of all the travel time components including:
- Corridor description
- Corridor control points (e.g., intersections)
- Travel time raw data (position/speed at 1-sec resolution)
- Travel time statistics calculation and reporting
- Corridor speed profile
- Corridor travel time space trajectories
- Operation/environmental improvement statistics
- Spatial maps that illustrate average speeds
